About Us

STORYBOOK THEATER COMPANY

STORYBOOK THEATER COMPANY incorporates youth theater, school tours, summer drama camps, and theater education for all ages. Storybook educators design and conduct creative drama projects to meet specific needs; such as oral language development of social skills – often in partnership with area schools, community resource agencies, and other arts organizations.

The Sands Theater Center is the performing arts organization at the Cultural Arts Center in DeLand, Florida. Incorporated in 1985, the Sands Theater Center originated as a union between Storybook Theater Company (a youth theater touring company since 1981) and Rivertown Players (a community theater organization). Since that time, the Sands Theater Center has broadened its outreach to the community by adding three additional divisions Stage II, Theater Center Touring Company and The DeLand Little Symphony. With performances, classes, tours, day camps and workshops during the year, the Sands Theater Center offers a broad range of family entertainment and educational opportunities.
